The cycling trip was amazing and it is a great way to see things off the beaten track, the guides are a lot of fun and we were encouraged to avoid all the single use plastic that we could.

This is my first holiday with Intrepid and my first cycling holiday. It was fantastic. The tour leader Long Le and all the support crew were helpful, supportive, professional and funny! They taught me all about their beautiful country (Vietnam) and we got exposure to so many Vietnamese experiences that we would not have had touring in a bus. The experience of being able to see this country in all it's forms was amazing and I would highly recommend cycling as a way to see this country. Do yourself a favour and get some practice before you go, bring the appropriate equipment as suggested and you will not be too sore to totally enjoy this experience. Thank you to Long and the team for a holiday I will never forget.

An incredible trip, a beautiful country and great organisation. The food was incredible and Tiet was a fantastic guide. I would highly recommend this trip, although padded shorts are a must, not optional!!
Brock Wheadon
This is a busy but very good tour, great way to see Vietnam, defiantly bring padded shorts and a cycling top. It can get very hot in the North and there is quite a lot of cycling. You will need to protect yourself from the sun too, so bring a good sunscreen.
Jim Kirby
The trip from Hanoi to Saigon was a terrific way to see rural Vietnam up close and personal. The bicycle challenge level was probably about right for most reasonably fit people, although I did find the heat took some getting used to, and I did use the support bus a wee bit.....A wonderful trip, I will travel with Intrepid again.
Rachel Laverick
It was amazing - both on and off the bike. Made some awesome connections as well. Like minded people I guess... Vietnamese people I met were friendly, resilient and welcoming. Cycling Vietnam we saw wonderful, rich landscapes and traversed smooth, bumpy, and challenging surfaces. Sweaty hot days filled with exploration, joy and satisfaction. Intrepid staff were supportive, strong and so much fun. Do it!

The Cycle Vietnam Trip exceeded my expectations. The local Tour Guide (Loc Phan) and his support teams were fantastic and made sure we got the most out of the adventure. I was lucky to travel with a great group of people who made the experience all the more memorable. The HomeStay ...local food ....scenery ....cultural insights and trips ensure this trip plays to your senses and provides you with a unique perspective of this amazing country. I would highly recommend this trip but make sure you do some training in advance. its not a walk in the park :)

‘ Cycling Vietnam was a wonderful active way to explore this country with a small group of like minded people led and supported by a team of gorgeous Vietnamese locals’
Felicia Walker
This was the most amazing tour of Vietnam. There were some very challenging rides like the 90kilometre ride and the 30k hill climb. However, the coach is never far behind if you need to hop on for a break. The heat was at times unbearable but you learn to cope. The crew that help out are amazing with the ice cool lemon drinks, fresh pineapple and melon at stops along with other snacks, not forgetting the ice cool wet wipes!!!! This was our first bike tour and it ticked all the boxes. Well organised and a knowledgeable team leader. Memories I will never forget

Great itinerary which we shared with a lovely group of people. I especially enjoyed the rides through countryside in the north of the country. I had concerns about the quality of the bikes (but not the make or model - it seems ideal for the trip), which I thought should have been replaced a long time before (think dodgy rental cycle with slipping gears and excruciating saddle). Intrepid could fix issues with the bikes easily.

I would highly recommend the Vietnam cycling trip from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh in March or early April. I would try to have Danh/Happy Buddha as your guide - he is excellent. The trip is so interesting, the riding is great. I have been on many cycling tours, both with a buddy and with groups, and this was a trip of a lifetime for me. Riding your bike every day Eating three delicious meals a day Socializing with fellow adventurers WHAT COULD BE BETTER

This was a wonderful tour - I really got to see the beauty of and understand the culture of Vietnam. Our tour guide Loc has an infection love for his country, and I think there's no better way to tour Vietnam than weaving through the villages on a bike and getting out of the major cities!
Jill O'Connor
If you want a complete cycling adventure and challenge, an introduction to a fascinating and diverse country, beautiful food, company of different but interesting people, and are not afraid of heat and constant sweating, this trip is for you! Make sure you train for sitting on a saddle for many hours (bike gloves, a gel seat, bike pants and anti-chaffing cream are highly reccommended!) There are also lots of undulations and some seriously long hills, made much harder by the heat! Cyling Vietnam is a great way to see much of the country; the rural roads and tracks made us feel far more connected to the ways people live here. I will never forget cycling amongst rice paddies, pineapple farms, fishing villages, salt farms, water buffalo wallowing in mud pools, and grinning children always yelling out hello and sticking hands out for high 5's. It was a wonderful experience and I thoroughly reccommend it!

Cycling Vietnam is a wonderful experience, made even more exciting when your tour is lead by "Happy Buddha" (Danh Nguyen)
Margot Widdup
Cycle Vietnam holiday was great! The best way to see the 'real' Vietnam and not be stuck on a bus the whole time. Physically it was reasonably challenging, get some KM's in on your bike before the trip. Chi our guide was fantastic, he made it a holiday to remember!
Denise Andrews
This trip required a good level of fitness. It was so good cycling and seeing, smelling hearing everything around you.The country and people were chaotic , overwhelming , welcoming .
Jude Fieldhouse
Cycling Viet Nam was a fantastic way to see the real people and countryside. It í definitely not for the faint hearted á thêre were some tough cycling day but a great challenge.
Rob Dixon
This trip provided everything I was looking for in a cycle tour of Vietnam, visiting all the main cities with a good amount of country scenery as well. You need an above average level of fitness to do this tour, there are 2 mountain passes to tackle and a total of 650km of cycling over the 2 weeks. Our guide Chi was amazing.
Patricia Mccauley
Don't hesitate to go on the Vietnam bike trip. It is wonderful. If you go on the Cambodia and Indonesia trip, be sure to pack biking clothes that can cover your shoulders and knees when you ride past temples that you want to explore. There wasn't as much bicycling on the Cambodia/Indonesia portion of the trip as I would have liked. But it was made up for with the historic and cultural sites.
Philip Beck
This is a trip to take if you want a physical challenge while exploring some of the best spots of Vietnam. All kids all around the country waved and high fived .. they also made the trip special.
Kenneth Howell
Recommend a cycling tour. More bussing than I expected. Learnt lots, great food and got home fitter than I started. Lucky that all the other members of the tour were excellent to travel with.
Maree Fewster
A wonderful cycling trip through beautiful and amazing Vietnam, led by awesome local tour guide with best local knowledge. I found some of the cycling challenging but very rewarding! I recommend doing a bit of training beforehand. Great way to get a real, genuine feel for Vietnam in a short period of time. I definitely want to go back!
Greg And Jackie Hamilton
Our cycle Vietnam tour was an amazing holiday jammed with many exciting experiences. Getting to a little about the culture and history of the country made us feel empathetic to the people and the struggles they have had over hundreds of years. They are very resilient people and are so friendly to tourists. If considering this trip do some training, take lots of sunscreen, mosquito repellent padded bike pants and a broad mind.
Barry Abrahams
An exhilarating moderately challenging eye opening experience. After a full day in the heat, the accommodation at night was cool comfortable and relaxing.
John Foley
Great way to see Vietnam and interact with the people. Would highly recommend.
Dawn Hope
Had the best time ever ,do the training and have fun.
Kerri Cooley
Challenging but amazing - everyday was a new adventure on this trip . Padded cycle shorts and training prior to trip essential - include done hill training too ! The rides have well planned breaks and time to rehydrate plus snack - delicious variety of fruits and Vietnamese treats . Got to be the best way to see and learn about this beautiful country . I rate this trip 10 out of 10 - and most definitely would book with Intrepid again
Sergio Antic
Great opportunity to see Vietnam's country side, local people and food. Cycling is the best way to explore the country. Bikes provided were solid and the brought gel seat was of great help. Can only recommend this tour.
Matthew Richards
Well organised trip. Well informed and dont have to worry about getting lost while with the group.
Natalie Bird
