Indonesien Rundreisen

Was kostet...?

Street Food Snack = 2.000 IDR

Frischer Saft = 5.000 IDR

Beautiful Bali

We chose Intrepid as part of our honeymoon vacation in June 2018. We loved the way it was planned; allowing us to see various parts of Bali and experience the nature, culture and balinese cuisine. Yogi Bear was an excellent guide from beginning to end. He explained what will happen before each day, giving us historical details on the places we’ll visit and always safeguarded our health. He is very charismatic and truly enjoys his work. We were lucky to have a good group of other travellers making the experience even better. We enjoyed the adventures in this tour; mostly the mountain climbing, the snorkelling and the hotsprings. The places Yogi took us for lunch and dinner were amazing. The accommodations were of good standard. I highly recommend Intrepid; this will definitely not be our last.

The trip offers a lot of variety. It is very active but you don’t have to be a sports addict to join it. My personal highlight was the snorkeling tour, but as well the balinese culture and the outgoing and friendly locals. The tour guide was absolutely fantastic and the group grew together like a family. I would do the trip again any time.

Yogi was an excellent group leader, with brilliant help from Nagun and Ida who we know will both make great group leaders in the future. Yogi was very helpful and accomodating as well as making our trip great fun. Remember your head torches and trainers for the trip up Mount Batur. We had a great time, made better by a great group.

My wife and I really enjoyed the trip. The main reason that the trip went so well was that our guide (Andy) was really great and the other travellers were very easy company. The activities were varied and interesting and the food was of really good quality and very tasty. We also met lots of local people and were able to have interesting conversations with them.

Fantastic trip! Loved it from start to finish! The itinerary was very good, food amazing everywhere, accommodations were all fine part from a couple of places were very basic but all doable and we had hot water everywhere! Gave a real insight into real Bali and Lombok and part from I would have loved to spend another hour up at Mount Ranjani in the morning before decent, I couldn’t fault this trip! Our guide Andy was fantastic and we had a great group too! Have the most amazing experiences for life and I would love to do it all over again! Thanks Andy and Intrapid! Great trip!!

I was so lucky to find Intrepid while booking my trip with Indonesia, it offered activities and more destinations than other agencies didn’t. I studied many travel packages before actually booking. At the end, the trip was way worth the money we paid and we are very satisfied with the service.

Beautiful Bali exceeded my expectations, the hotels were all comfortable and beautiful, the activities exciting and interesting. My group leader Yogi was professional and enthusiastic. I wanted an adventure and I got that and more. I went over to Bali by myself and made so many new friends, I felt safe and content in my group. Bali really is beautiful, especially if you see it the “Intrepid”way, such a wonderful experience. Thanks Intrepid!

This was the first time I travelled with Intrepid and I really enjoyed my trip. The activities included were fantastic and we really got to see the real Bali, meet local people and gain a good understanding of the culture. Our group was a wonderful bunch of people and it was so nice getting to know them and share adventures. The trip is very active which is what I was looking for and I loved this – hiking, cycling and snorkelling all included. I highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for more of an active adventure! Would definitely travel with Intrepid again.

This trip is well worth doing and java is an amazing island to see. But be prepared for a lot of travel in this trip.

Hiking Mt. Batur is difficult. Definitely bring a head torch and wear full length leggings, the top is very cold so bring an extra layer and a raincoat. I should have packed better for this part of the trip.

A great way to travel, especially when you have limited time. Cover all the highlights of the real Bali and Lombok, not just the tourist traps.

Indonesia is not only Bali – you have to visit Java as well to gain a better knowledge of the country. Intrepid opened our eyes!

Beautiful Bali
Claire

Beautiful Bali – Great mix of learning about Indonesian culture by visiting temples, eating local meals cooked by local people with the adventure and excitement of climbing a volcano or cycling through rice fields and villages. The relaxation of snorkeling or a gentle walk through some beautiful scenary definitely shows all sides of Indonesia. Our guide Yan was brilliant, enthusiastic and kind, he even helped arrange transport to help us after our trip ended. My boyfriend had never backpacked before and he loved every second and already wants to book another Intrepid trip next year. Definitely recommend 100% – loved it!!!!

Amazing trip, love how this trip spends a considerable time on Java, giving a chance to experience the culture. Tantan was a great group leader. Do read the trip notes: this trip involves a lot of travelling and only once do you spend more than 2 nights in the same hotel. The travel is worth it though: Mt Bromo was absolutely highlight, but also Borobudur and Seloliman were great experiences. Prambanan temple and cooking class best optional activities.

Beautiful Bali
Nihill

The intrepid tour gives travellers a rare insight into Balinese village life, from the religious customs and traditions, to localised food and adventures off the tourist track.

Beautiful Bali - For Solo Travellers
Francella

This is an amazing trip for its price. Every day is an adventure and an opportunity to grow – as cliched as that sounds, it’s true. Be sure to pack with versatility in mind so that you can travel light. If you can, get a rash guard for snorkelling since it gets really sunny. The trip is filled with physical activity (walking in the heat, hiking, cycling, swimming), so keep that in mind before you book and be honest with yourself about your limits. If that doesn’t scare you, the physical aspect is really rewarding. I would highly recommend this trip.

Komodo & Flores
Maryann

Amazing trip for the physically active . Experience the culture, and variety of nature spaces from volcanic cones to forests, rice fields, tropical beaches, fish and corals. Need to be comfortable with winding narrow roads.

Komodo & Flores
Stephen

Having only been to Bali and Gili Air previously, I was quite amazed at the diversity and complexity within Indonesia. Flores was a terrific experience. It allowed us to dive in to this specific part of Indonesia and understand in more detail the many cultures and customs of this region. The dominance of Christianity on the island, brought across by the Portuguese and maintained by the Dutch, was certainly something I wasn’t aware of. Spending the night at the village of Wei Rebo, after trekking for 3 hours into a surreal setting surrounded by the neighbouring mountains will be an image I won’t forget. The day we spent at the village of Bena where the occupants live under Matrilineal descent system, meaning that the women take precedence over the men regarding inheritance and power. So many quirks and surprises along the way, mixed in with the undeniable beauty of the land and the always friendly and welcoming inhabitants made this a trip to remember. Intrepid did a wonderful job with our guide and the logistics of our intinery.

I have completed two trips in three different countries with Intrepid. I don’t know who has the attention to detail to ensure trips are as they read but I suspect that trait can drive people batty in their personal life! That attention to detail brings nothing but joy to travellers like myself who like to know what they’ve signed up for.

Beautiful Bali
Cassidy

This was my first experience with Intrepid and it honestly blew me away. I’m a seasoned traveler and have only done one other organized group travel- with that being said, I cannot wait to do another Intrepid trip. Everything is so well organized and I really feel like I got a true taste of the authentic culture, unlike any experience you could do as a tourist on your own trying to explore a place. From my guide to my group to the itinerary, accommodations, and food- it was all perfect. The friends and memories I made will last a lifetime. The physical rating and itinerary descriptions are very realistic and true to what you will see and do. I wish I could do it all over again!

Indonesia is a tropical country. Be careful with the strong sun rays, bring proper sun screen and mosquito repellent with you. Climbing volcanoes, a good pair hiking boots is needed as well as head torch. On the top of the view point to Bromo, it was cold in the early morning. So take some warm layer, may be a sweater with you.

This is an exciting trip with a chance to experience the nature and culture of Flores. There are some long driving days but there’s plenty to see. This was my tenth Intrpid trip. This Komodo-Flores trip is as good or better than my other Intrepid trips. Flores has great natural beauty, mountains, forests, beaches. Two visits to tribal villages make you think about your own assumptions and values. Snorkeling (five times!) in beautiful, clear water where the coral is still intact, plus swimming with mantas. No other tourists, so the people you meet are all local, friendly, live and work here.

This was an excellent trip and most activities were thoroughly enjoyable (from the white water rafting, which I had never done before, through to the cycling and the challenging but extremely worthwhile mountain climb). Ending on the Gilis was great too and gave the perfect relaxing end to the holiday. Definitely recommended.

Bali & Lombok: Hike, Bike & Raft
Joshua

Great alternative to the typical “lazy” Bali trips offered by Intrepid. The bike ride has a few tough hill climbs if you don’t ride often and the Mt. Rinjani trek (accurately described as “no joke” by our leader beforehand) is a great balance of challenging and rewarding. Consider extra warm/dry clothes for the top and a rain cover for your pack mandatory for Mt. Rinjani. Leisure days are included after the more challenging activities and were found most welcome by our group.

If all you know about Indonesia is Bali…then consider doing the Jakarta to Ubud trip to discover more about the real Indonesia and its Javanese heartland. This fantastic trip, travelling mostly across the Java by train, provides lots of opportunities to learn about Indonesia, its history and culture, its diverse natural environments including spectacular volcanoes, beaches and nature reserves and its hopes for the future as one of Australia’s near neighbours. It ends in Bali, after spending a day or so in one of the least visited parts in the west and then on to Ubud.

Intrepid provide a wonderful ‘hands on’ traveling experience. A great mix of accomodation, transport and activity types that allow you to experience the culture and customs from an holistic view. Intrepid tours are perfect for those who want to be travellers rather than ‘tourists’.

Excellent trip to gain sense of Indonesian culture and people. Be advised that some long bus trips are involved but that train journeys are some of the best quality I have ever taken in terms of comfort and punctuality.

Flores was the way Bali was 20 years ago. It is uncrowded with many miles of beaches but no resorts yet. The roads are horrible. Be prepared for long hours in the van bouncing along to your next stop. The finishing trip to Komodo Island and the snorkel stop make it a special adventure.

Intrepid’s attention to detail and variety in their tours keeps the mind and body active – each day a mini adventure unfolds as a new journey begins into something new – so much more enjoyable than sitting on a sunbed by a pool in a busy glossy resort!

The tour was absolutely amazing, beautiful, and life-changing! The activities were more challenging than I thought they would be, but I loved the feeling of accomplishment. I struggled the most with the cycling but there is the option to get back into the van. Be ready for hot mid-day sun and sunscreen accordingly! You will sweat like never before. The hike up Mt. Rinjani was one of the best days of my life, and it might be yours too, if you love challenging hiking and awe-inspiring views. This tour really gets you into nature and local culture. The food was also very good, and the accommodations were beautiful. I am so happy I booked this tour and now have these memories for life.

It was a very interesting trip with varied destination. If you search a trip in a country with friendly peoples and less tourists its the best.

Intrepid Travel is the best of both worlds. It offers the convenience of group travel with plenty of free time to explore your own interests. The guides are always professional, friendly, supportive, and helpful. All of the trips I have taken with them have been excellent.

Leave your country of origin at home and embrace the one you are visiting. Take only photos and leave only footprints.

I had a great time travelling with Intrepid. Our group leader Maman was enthusiast, motivating and very knowledgeable. The guides were all friendly and obviously passionate about their job, which made us learn a lot about the culture. The organisation was great and accommodation above my expectations. I will definitely recommend Intrepid to my friends and travel with them again! Thank you 🙂

This trip provides a varied overview of Java, with a combination of historic monuments and spectacular scenery, ending with a few relaxing days on Bali. The Indonesian rail network is very efficient in covering the distances on this spectacular and densely-populated island

What a kaleidoscope to my senses, the reality of Indonesia provided a so much richer experience than my expectations. A great mix of culture, scenery and experiences, lots of travel but also plenty of downtime.

Mount Rinjani is not to be underestimated. It’s a tough trek but absolutely worth it when you reach the top. Varied itinerary with an amazing tour guide (Andy).

The notes telling you what to pack are very useful and necessary. 4 star active holidays are not very active, a reasonable level of fitness will suffice, though some determination is required at times.

This trip combines the best that Java has to offer and includes many interesting and fun activities. You will really get to know Java and its people, culture and wildlife. Then have a more relaxed time in Bali for a few days after that!

I’m very happy that I booked this tour because I really liked the activities, the group and the tour leader. I would recommend this trip to others who like being active and in the nature but you really need to have a certain level of condition (e.g. 7 hours hiking on the Mount Rinjani).

Great trip to see the sights of Bali and Lombok. Some of the timings for the trips were slightly optimistic. I would recommend this trip for someone is fairly comfortable with physical activities (mountain biking and hiking). It was energetic but very enjoyable overall!

White beaches, black beaches, pink beaches, coral reefs, jungles, cloud forests, volcanoes, remote villages, welcoming people, boat rides, truck life, plane journeys, monkeys, bats, leeches and dragons. Flores, you have so much to offer!
