Ecuador

This tour is amazing for outdoor people! The itinerary is jam-packed with experiences, and we were never bored. New adventure every day! Absolutely recommend…10/10.

The biggest downfall of this trip for me was the fitness and adventure levels of other travelers. It really effected the experience of the activities for me. As they were not fit/adventurous (not all of them) I think it’s advertised as an adventure trip and you need to be fit… but maybe this should be emphasised more.

This trip was very adventurous and active but approachable for those who may not be an expert at rafting, biking, or hiking. Be prepared for some tough hiking and embracing the challenging activities and you will have a great time. It felt more like traveling with friends than being on a tour.

The trip was well planned and the landscape quite extraordinary. Our group was great fun we did all activities and meals together, there was just one member of our group who did not join in for everything, this individual was very awkward, difficult to please and quite disruptive: however, our guide Fernando dealt with the situation sensitively and with great respect towards the individual at all times – this was very impressive.

Galapagos has unique geography, geology, wildlife and bird life. Keeping this fragile environment intact with tourism is difficult but important for the economy. Most of the towns are have kept their historical uniqueness

The islands get cold at night so thick jacket needed. Also bring sea sick tablets as the boat rides are rough and last over 2.5hrs. Worth doing the extra activities especially the one where you snorkel and visit the island with seals, sharks and iguanas.

We had a fantastic trip with Intrepid to Galapagos and Peru that exceeded our high expectations. Overall we thought this trip was fantastic. Good weather, food, travel companions, and lots of wildlife. There didn’t seem to be a lot of down-time, so if you’re looking for that, this may not be the trip for you. If we went again, we would likely try to bring 1 or 2 sets of very quick drying clothes to wear anywhere near the water or when it might rain, as it is quite humid and things don’t dry easily. We’d also bring a dry-bag for our clothes we wanted to keep separate and dryer (this was never a major issue, more of a small annoyance we didn’t quite plan for).

Make this trip for excellent value, perfect for getting up close with sea and bird life. Great information on the three islands with highly knowledgeable staff. Very mixed. The trip itself was great. Guide was excellent. Pace was just right – adventurous but not exhausting. We saw incredible wildlife in beautiful places. But the pre-trip help from the office staff was terrible. I don’t know if I’d recommend it as a result.

My first Intrepid trip has been an excellent one! There’s a lot to be said for having good company and guidence in unfamiliar territory. You get so much value out of the day having a local guide to point you in the right direction or recommend a restaurant so no time is wasted looking for what you need. Galapagos is an unforgettable place. During my research before the trip I found myself asking if I could possibly hope to see everything I’m seeing in YouTube videos and whether the wildlife really is that abundant and ‘in your face’ as it were. The islands won’t disappoint! If you’re fortunate enough for a trip to Galápagos to be a possibility my advice would be to get yourself a GoPro and make it happen.

The perfect trip for all animal lovers! The activities suit all abilities and the guides are brilliant at showing local life and culture. Travel sickness pills are worth taking for the boat rides, even if you don’t normally get sea sick. Overall- you won’t regret going on this trip, it’s great value for money and an unforgettable place.

Galápagos Venture takes you to 3 main islands. You´ll see so many animals and plants. Everything you expect and more. There are plenty of opportunities to snorkel with sea lions and turtles. Enough free free time to explore on your own as well. Each island is different. Éverthing is well organised and I can´t say enough good things about this trip.

Book this tour! It has been my first trip with Intrepid and Galapagos Venture was the right choice, amazing wildlife, well organized, lots of interesting and fun activities and worth the money. We had such a lovely group, same interests and a good vibe. Our local leaders Juan and Andrea did a good job, they really took care of everyone and I always felt in good hands, they gave us lots of recommendations for our free time and suggested restaurants for dinner (loved the streetfood dinner on Santa Cruz) and most important lovely places for our daily happy hour mojitos. I really enjoyed our snorkeling time, we saw lots of sea lions, turtles, colorful fishes, sharks, iguanas, and sting rays in their natural environment, so I definitely could recommend the optional snorkeling trip to Kicker Rock and don’t forget your waterproof camera to take pictures!

Animals everywhere, bring binoculars however most of the time you will be tripping over them! If you care about the environment, animals and the future here is a must visit, walk in to Jurassic Park! Being Vegan here was a little limited as they do not import much fruit and veggies to avoid fruit flies, which is totally understandable & I survived on the basics for the sustainability of these islands. Rent the long sleeve wet suit and you can snorkel for longer!

Give yourself anough time to browse the Internet website as there are so many trips and a lot of info to read. As there was nowhere else to put this I wanted to say that during my last trip which was the rice terraces in the Philippines, we all went out to eat together during the evenings which I liked. On this trip we were told about a few places and as I was the only one on my own I felt a little left out as to who to connect with. We went out together on two occasions which I loved.

I found this trip of a life time to be exciting, thoughtful and well organized. I learned so much about animals, environmental resource protection, and it has moved me to do more in my own community. The group was small enough that we easily got along, without getting on each others nerves. we all had a great time.

Fantastic trip! We saw unique Galapagos wildlife and did a variety of activities, from swimming to hiking. The trip keeps you busy, but also allows a few days of free time to explore other parts of the island not included in the trip, or to just relax on the beach.

Please be mindful of the unique environment of the Galapagos (and anywhere you go around the word). stick to being the responsible traveler and don’t trash the islands and don’t feed or pat the animals. The local guides put alot of time and energy in conserving and protecting the wildlife and natural plantlife here. So the least we can do is treat the place with respect.

Great agency to discover the Galapgos. Spend your time in enjoying the animals and nature, the rest is been taken care of!

Peru is a trip of a lifetime. The culture the people and the sites are amazing. The homestays are a highlight and of course Machu Picchu is just spectacular. Galapagos is amazing as well, swimming and waking so close to the wildlife is something that you will never forget.

Excellent itinerary – it allowed us to explore four of the islands in the Galapagos and see a lot of wildlife, very close up. I loved how playful the sealions were when we swam with them. The guide was exceptionally knowledgeable.
