Excellent trip for our family with two children 10 years and 12 years. White water rafting and mountain biking were a real hit with the kids. The activities were paced for all abilities. Stuart the leader was very supportive. The food at the hotel was fantastic and Nuria was happy to accommodate for differing tastes. We did canyoning as an extra and despite my fear of heights I would really recommend it.
An amazing experience which exceeded my expectations. Felt really well supported in trying new activities due to knowledge and skills of activity leaders. Bring walking boots not shoes unless you are happy to have wet feet all day!
The trip was great – with just the right level of activity. The guides were fab and were very good with the kids, always encouraging them and making it fun for them. This holiday was the first holiday I felt like I could totally switch off – every thing was organised for you, so you didn’t have to think about anything – you could just enjoy. Andorra is beautiful. White water rafting was highlight for the kids. Highly recommend this as a family holiday with teenagers – 12 and 15.
This is a great family holiday, full of activities – you will definitely sleep well each night! The guides make it an unforgettable experience and the white-water rafting is the highlight. I highly recommend spending time in this beautiful country and vow to come back to Andorra in the Winter for the skiing.
A trip that gets you out and gets you moving. Hiking, biking, and rafting, you’ll need to be in somewhat good shape and adaptable to being high in the mountains. An amazing trip if you want to get your blood moving.
This was a great trip and thoroughly recommend it, especially if you are active. It was great value for money and the activities were challenging with some wonderful views. Hotel staff were fantastic.
Great family holiday, challenging enough to feel you have accomplished something but not daunting. Guides were fantastic, they really knew what they were doing so we always felt safe. Options to take it at your own pace. We had a fantastic time, would definitely recommend.
Outstanding Holiday. Kids loved it especially the White Water Rafting. The team headed by Nick were amazing as was the food. Slight criticism was the transfers in that the coach drivers seemed to not be interested and were unwilling to go the extra mile that the rest of the team were.
This holiday was awesome! The guides were absolutely fantastic, brilliant with the kids and full of fun. The physical activities were challenging though, don’t be fooled into thinking that a family holiday won’t have long walks!!
The trip was seamless. It was the best family holiday we have ever been on. Everything was pitched perfectly, the transfers, the hotel, the activities just everything. Nuria and Nick were amazing hosts their hotel was perfect and the home cooked food every night simply couldn’t be faulted. Our guides were just fabulous …we were sorry to leave everyone behind. Well done Intrepid and massive, love and thanks to Nick, Nuria, Stuart and Adele…we will be back!
Andorra is a hidden gem, a country I was unaware of , it is ckean safe and beautiful and I would recommend a visit there on one of the Intrepid trips
Fantastic holiday ( although not restful ! ), we were a family group of 9, age range of 10 – 77….while not everyone did everything there was always options offered. I would highly recommend this trip !
This is a great trip for active families who want to experience the beautiful mountain scenery of Andorra. The accommodation is basic but really comfortable and welcoming. The guides are great and friendly and it is great opportunity to introduce children to the exhilaration of trekking in high mountains and mountain biking. The rafting was a real highlight and enjoyed by everyone. The trip is fairly physical so you need to be able to deal with trekking up high gradients at what is a relatively high altitude; and it may not suit children younger than 8 or 9 years. On our trip the group bonded really well, which was a real highlight. Overall this made for a really exciting, happy and memorable family holiday. Highly recommended!
Fantastic active trip with beautiful scenery and great guides! First holiday of this type and we loved it….it won’t be the last! Evenings were low key, chilling over a few drinks in hotel…no energy left for venturing out but such a satisfying feeling.
Lovely week in sunny Andorra! This trip is perfect for parent-kids bonding and getting the young ones into fresh air and away from screens. Our guides Adele, Nuria and Stewart were fun, knowledgeable and flexible so parents and kids enjoyed fulfilling hikes and mountain biking. The hotel was cosy and friendly and felt like home – thanks Nick.
I thoroughly enjoyed this trip – fantastic value. The variety of the activities, the beautiful unspoiled Andorran scenery, the warmth of our hosts and the food (3 course restaurant quality dinner every night…) were the highlights. The hikes and the rafting (I’d estimate grade 3 to 4) were reasonably challenging and the mountain biking was fairly easy going if you’re experienced – fairly challenging if not! The accommodation is basic but clean – the shower was hot, the beds are comfortable and there’s a well stocked bar which is all you really need…
This was a brilliant, active holiday for us as a family with a good level of walking, biking and rafting involved. We loved it all. The country is beautiful and we were able to see it through the eyes of passionate guides, whilst experiencing activities we don’t usually undertake to that level.
An awesome trip that is well organised with great tour guides. Will definitely be recommending this trip to family and friends who are interested in active holidays.
Great trip for who loves to be outdoors in the mountains. Lots of different activities and very experienced guides. Don’t forget to bring sunscreen and a waterproof
This trip is really excellent with exciting activities, comfortable and homely accommodation, really good home cooked food provided, great leaders who are really well organised and lots of craic and banter. The Andorran Pyrenees are there to be experienced!
The brochure and website are very accurate. Accommodation is as described and others on the trip who had booked with Intrepid previously agreed. A great trip!
